Kuwait City, Kuwait
SOM participated in a design competition for a new headquarters for the Central Bank of Kuwait, comprising a tower and support buildings. The site sits prominently at the edge of Kuwait Bay, where the sea winds meet the heat of the desert-city. The challenge was to create a building that responds to this environment as a means of creating a new and native landmark.
